VISION

To provide students the support to be more effective and confident in their coursework as well as to promote excellence in written and oral communications.  In so doing, the Center supports West Virginia University's aspiration to enhance career readiness.

MISSION

To enhance the success of students in their study of business disciplines and their communications skills by providing  tutoring in a variety of subject areas as well as feedback and assistance with both written and verbal communications.

PRIORITIES

  • Teach students tactics to succeed with coursework
  • Provide tutoring in business related subject areas (e.g., Accounting, Economics, Finance, MIS, Statistics)
  • Hone both written and oral communication skills
  • Increase retention as well as 6-year graduation rates
