DESCRIPTION: The White House Commission on Remembrance is looking for an intern interested in planning events to honor America's fallen soldiers. The intern will work closely with Commission staff on all parts of the planning process, from invitations, to contacting VIPs, to ensuring the events run smoothly. Interns will become an integral part of the event planning team, and will gain valuable experience. WVU Libraries, Media Services Department
POSITION: Graduate Assistant (2 position)
DESCRIPTION: 20 hours per week in the Media Services department of the Downtown Campus Library. Will assist student and faculty library users by answering questions about multimedia applications, and instructing users in the use of media hardware/software. The ideal student will have experience using a variety of multimedia hardware and software. Experience with Apple computers preferred. All library GAs must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work with a variety of student and faculty library users. In addition, dependability, strong organizational and writing skills are required. Applicants should have excellent computer skills. Familiarity with the WVU Libraries, desktop publishing and web skills are desirable. Some night and weekend hours will be required for all positions. Positions are eligible for a tuition waiver and GA stipend. Appointments are for the spring 2010 semester.
