This sign indicates the location of a cell of the Committee for the Defense
of the Revolution (CDR). While much more inclusive than the elite-dominated Communist Party, the CDR
actively supports the Party's ongoing revolution by mobilizing ideological conformity at the grassroots and
offering membership to almost any citizen who wishes to participate.  The neighborhood CDR
participants also serve as the Party's watchdogs, identifying dissenters
and attempting to eradicate counter-revolutionary activity.
