JD / Executive MBA

Pursuing your JD/EMBA allows you to earn two degrees in less time and for less money than it would cost to pursue each degree independently and this combined perspective is increasingly in demand. The College of Business and Economics and the College of Law offer this joint degree program to better prepare you for career opportunities in business areas such as corporate law, intellectual property, patent, copyright and trademark law.

After completing first year law classes, intertwine Executive MBA courses into your plan of study to see how the curriculum in each program compliments the other. The MBA degree will consist of 36 credit hours, up to 9 credits per semester, of graduate coursework in business with the remaining 12 credit hours of the MBA degree consisting of coursework taken in the JD program. The JD degree will consist of 79 credit hours of coursework in law with the remaining 12 credit hours of the JD degree consisting of coursework taken in the MBA program. Gain entrance into the joint program, by applying separately to both colleges. Accomplish more in the future with the joint JD/EMBA degree.

For further information on the JD/EMBA degree, contact Jena Martin at the College of Law or Carrie Wood at the College of Business and Economics.
