The Washington Campus

Announcing a New Addition to the Executive MBA Curriculum

The Washington Campus in Washington, DC, a consortium of 16 U.S. business schools, will present a three day Executive Seminar Nov. 15th-18th as a mandatory experience of WVU’s Executive MBA program for incoming students. The exciting new addition to the EMBA curriculum will offer graduate business students and corporate executives a look into the decision making processes of the U.S. government. The Washington Campus, founded in 1978, is a non-profit consortium comprised of 16, primarily elite, graduate business schools.  Its purpose is to educate business leaders to ethically and effectively influence the decision-making process and to have an edge in developing effective business and advocacy strategies that both inform, and are informed by the policy-making process.

The three day seminar will allow students to examine the intersection of business and government, providing them with the necessary skills to anticipate, influence, and respond intelligently to public policy initiatives. They will also examine strategic policy development and advocacy methods. Each session will be led by high level experienced practitioners of the public policy process gaining students access to excellent resources in the public policy arena as well as an enhanced network of executive peers.

Upon completion of the seminar students will have a real world perspective on the constraints and pressures inherent in both the domestic and global policy decision making process, along with a vivid appreciation for assuming a leadership role within their company and community.
