DEAR ALUMNI, FRIENDS, & STUDENTS,
There are may ways we can measure our successes at the College of Business and Economics, and we hold ourselves to the highest of standards as we strive to make the College better every day. Since my arrival here, it has been abundantly clear that one measure of our success is the success of our graduates.
Our alumni, former students that we "launched" into the world, serve as great examples for students, supporters of our College and benchmarks for future students. From the second group of individuals recognized during Homecoming Weekend in the Roll of Distinguished Alumni to some inductees we will honor during yet another induction into the West Virginia Business Hall of Fame next week, or from alumni who communicate to the University community through the B&E Distinguished Speaker Series to our graduates who serve on our various advisory boards, our College is rich in examples of success.
As we continually look to engage our successful alumni in our plans for the future, we also continually prepare students for a world hungry for highly prepared, highly motivated graduates who are ready to write chapters in their own stories of success. Whether they wish to connect with alumni for advice or an internship or to hear them speak and see first-hand what hard work and dedication can yield, examples of success are all around them.
And for that, we are very grateful.
