Joyce Thompson Heames. Ph.D., SPHR, is a member of the faculty in the Department of Management and Industrial Relations in the College of Business & Economics at West Virginia University. Her teaching includes human resource fundamentals, staffing and selection, and corporate social responsibility at the graduate and undergraduate levels. She is co-advisor for the undergraduate student chapter of SHRM and the graduate student chapter of IRSA. Joyce’s primary area of research is counterproductive work behavior, specifically workplace bullying. She also explores management history, training & development, and organizational knowledge transference. Her work has been published in the Journal of World Business, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Journal of Leadership & Organizational Studies, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Management Decision, and Journal of Business Ethics.
