Area of Expertise:
Dr. Gentry's research focuses on real options, entrepreneurship and the behavioral theory of the firm. His dissertation focused on market entry by entrepreneurial firms. In particular, the dissertation focused on patterns of market entry that emerge among new entrants and compared those with entry behaviors of new entrants who were established in other industries.
Dr. Gentry's published work has looked at executive succession and board structure. He was national recognized twice during his PhD program for research excellence by the strategic management society. Rich received a dissertation fellowship from the Kauffman Foundation in 2005 for his research. Rich currently teaches strategic management.
