Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation (FAFI) Graduate- Dave Lambert
Dave Lambert is a Senior with Ernst and Young’s Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services practice in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting, and was enrolled in the FAFI program while pursuing a master’s in professional accountancy. A native of Parsons, W.Va., Dave graduated from the program in 2005.
Ernst and Young employs 130,000 people across the globe in 140 countries and in 83 U.S. locations. It has revenues of $21.1 billion.
“In this profession, I can truly say there’s variety every day,” he said. “We work closely with clients in the field, and that’s especially rewarding.”
With two years in fraud investigation under his belt, Dave said his graduate certificate in forensic accounting and fraud investigation helped him to develop an investigative mindset that allowed him to get a running start in a field with myriad opportunities.
“The fact is that fraud is increasing. With the use of technology, the pressure for ever-expanding revenues and dividends, and the globalization of business, there are ever- increasing opportunities to commit fraud. So, the job prospects in fraud detection, investigation and prevention are pretty much limitless. The WVU FAFI program is a great way to build a foundation for a solid career and future.
