A Management Program for Moving Ahead

The added value of a graduate management education complements any undergraduate degree. Highly focused on technology and team decision-making, our graduate programs will give you the technical skills and the knowledge you need to successfully face the many challenges in today's workplace - on Wall Street, Main Street and across the globe.

Whether your career is on the fast track or you are starting up the career ladder, we offer five graduate degrees that will help you succeed: the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) program; the Executive M.B.A. program; the Master of Professional Accountancy; the Master of Science in Industrial Relations; and the Master of Arts and Ph.D in Economics. We also offer a graduate certificate in forensic accounting and fraud investigation.

Focus on Quality

An important measure of a business school's quality is AACSB International accreditation. All business graduate programs at WVU have been accredited since the College graduated its first class in 1954. The accounting program was separately accredited in 1997, a distinction held by only 130 schools. West Virginia University has been recognized as an excellent educational value. WVU was named one of America's 100 Best College Buys in a book published by John Culler & Sons and in Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine.

Courses are taught by full-time faculty who have business experience, doctoral degrees, and a commitment to meeting the needs of today's students and their employers. Focus on Technology

Mastery of computer and communication technologies is key to moving ahead in a professional career, and the use of technology is an integral part of the graduate program. Students learn to write effectively using word processing, make presentations with graphic software, manipulate data via spreadsheet, and manage records with databases. The College also offers courses via two distance learning classrooms and on-campus programs are taught in classrooms equipped with the latest teaching technologies. Our classrooms offer multimedia capability and Internet connections. Every student has an e-mail account, students can use computers in our two computer labs, and they can connect via our wireless network from anywhere in the building.

The use of technology is also an integral part of the courses. Students will learn to write effectively using word processing, make presentations with graphic software, manipulate data via spreadsheet, and manage records with databases in an integrated data management system. The College also offers courses via two state-of-the-art distance learning classrooms-the Joseph E. Antonini Dean's Suite and the Mylan Distance Learning Center. On-campus programs are taught in the WesBanco Technology Classroom. The Internet and the World Wide Web are also an integral part of every program.
