Class of 2016 May Commencement

The West Virginia University College of Business and Economics cordially invites you to the December 2016 Graduation Ceremony. West Virginia University will recognize all December 2016 candidates for academic degrees and August 2016 graduates during a formal ceremony at the WVU Coliseum, Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.
Application for Graduation and Diploma
Students graduating are required to complete an online Application for Graduation and Diploma found on DegreeWorks. The deadline to submit this application is October 07, 2016 for the December 2016 graduation. Students who do not submit an electronic application by the aforementioned deadline will not be able to submit an application until January 2017 for the May 2017 Commencement.
Students planning to walk in the December ceremony are required to fill out the registration form on the University website http://graduation.wvu.edu/December-commencement. Information about the ceremony is also available at this website.
Students participating in the ceremony must wear full academic regalia. Caps, gowns, tassels and hoods are available at the WVU Book Store. The tassel color for the College is drab.
Cords to designate Latin Honors will be distributed by the College of Business and Economics at the registration area at the Coliseum. If a student is not attending December Commencement, he/she can pick up the cords in the Office of Undergraduate Programs and Advising in Room 358 in the week prior to the ceremony.
College Breakfast for Undergraduate Students
The College of Business and Economics will host a breakfast prior to the ceremony to recognize the undergraduate and graduate degree candidates. Students will receive an invitation at their permanent address. The breakfast is at the Morgantown Event Center at Waterfront Place, Three Waterfront Pl, Morgantown, WV, on December 16, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Dr. Javier Reyes, Milan Puskar Dean of the College of Business and Economics, will offer comments to students and invited guests. Immediately following Dean Reyes's comments, students will be recognized during an Alumni Pinning Ceremony. The program will conclude by 11:30 a.m. to allow adequate time for travel to the WVU Coliseum for the ceremony.
