Major:
Graduate Program: MBA, Master in Business Administration / Starting the MSIR Program Fall 2006
Graduation Date:
August 2006
What was your most memorable academic experience at B&E?:
The MBA Program has exposed me to several valuable opportunities; however,
two experiences, in particular, stand out as my favorites. As a class
officer, I was able to attend the annual Net Impact Conference, this year
held at Stanford University. Net Impact is a graduate student and business
professional organization that promotes sustainability and corporate
responsibility. During the Conference I was able to network with
organizations from around the world, and I left with a new way of thinking
about business.
My other favorite experience has been studying abroad in China. As part of the MBA Program, every student is required to go on an international trip. This feature attracted me to WVU's graduate program because I believe that it is not only important but necessary to develop an international mind-set in today's global economy.
Plans after graduation:
After graduation I plan to remain at WVU and pursue a Master of Science in
Industrial Relations. I believe that having both an MBA and MSIR degree
will afford me the opportunity to enter different industries, as well as the
flexibility to seek a variety of positions. Though I plan to keep me
options open, my interests lie in marketing, specifically brand management.
Regardless of what field I do enter, I am optimistic and excited about the
future. The College of B&E has and will continue to prepare me for whatever
may lie ahead.
