Major:
Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
Graduation Date:
August 2006
What was your most memorable academic experience at B&E?:
While academic achievements ranks high on my list of priorities, the most memorable experience
I have about the B&E is the large number of relationships that were built. I have formed great
relationships with classmates who are now life long friends, many faculty members who began the
semester as my teacher, ended the semester as a role model, and have acquired a large number of
mentors who was there for me every step of my MBA experience.
How did B&E prepare you for the real world?
The college of B&E has prepared me for the real world in numerous ways. The professors did
a great job of bring the real world into the classroom. The majority of the professors had worked
in their particular field of study, so they were able to bring text book knowledge as well
as years of personal experience. Besides this in class preparation, lessons such as time management,
working in groups, and conflict resolution has prepared me for my next level of development in
the corporate world.
Plans after graduation:
Prior to starting my MBA experience I put a number of goals down on paper. One of those goals was
to interview with BB&T, for their management development program. Thanks to the Career Development Center,
I landed an on campus interview. This led to a series of interviews, that ultimately led to a great
opportunity with BB&T. Starting in September, I will be joining the BB&T family, and will enter the Management
Development Program in January to join an elite group of people. Without support from the B&E staff, friends,
and family I would not be graduating from a very intense program with an MBA, joining one of the best banking
institutions, further more, joining the best Management Development Program in the banking industry, and
wouldn't be the developing business man that I am today.
