WVU has a comprehensive financial aid program to help students finance their education. Although the cost to attend WVU is relatively low, more than half of the students qualify for financial aid awarded on the basis of need, merit, or a combination of the two. The free application for Federal Student Aid (FASA) must be filed before March 1. For more information contact the Student Financial Aid Office at (304) 293-5242.
The Division of Accounting in the College of Business and Economics has no graduate assistantships or tuition waivers for any Master of Professional Accountancy graduate students. Assistantships and waivers are only awarded to graduate students in the doctoral (not masters) programs of the College. This is common among many masters degree programs in accounting and business at public universities. Applicants are encouraged to note that the WVU MPA program is a quality, but short (30 credits over 10 1/2 months) masters program of only two semesters and one summer session.
