West Virginia University College of Business and Economics

Please join us Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
at the Erickson Alumni Center
for a reception to honor new Corporate Social Responsibility Club members

The WVU Corporate Social Responsibility class was designed to teach future business leaders the value of contributing to society and the community. Dr. Joyce Heames leads the program, which has awarded more than $200,000 to worthy local community projects in northern West Virginia since 2001. This funding comes from alumni and friends of the College who recognize the importance of corporate philanthropy.

Each semester, we receive requests well in excess of the available $20,000, and this year is no exception. We have developed judging criteria and are currently in the process of reviewing applications. Grants will be awarded to winners at the reception in April.

The annual membership fee for the CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CLUB is $500 and goes directly to the West Virginia community projects selected by the class each year.

Because corporate social responsibility is good business as well as good community spirit, you may deduct your membership dues as a marketing and public relations expense. As a member, your organization will receive a 8.5" X 11" membership certificate suitable for framing and two seats at our reception.

Your help with showing tomorrow's leaders the importance of community support will be very much appreciated by all of us at West Virginia University, as well as the organizations who will directly benefit from your generous gift.

Please contact Joyce Heames at joyce.heames @ or (304) 293-7936 for more information or to become a member.
