
One of the ways that the College of Business and Economics moves mountains for students (B&E) is by helping them fund their education. The College provides more than $100,000 in financial assistance to B&E Juniors for use in the senior year of study. In addition, West Virginia University offers a substantial amount of scholarship aid through various departments and agencies of the University. Awards vary widely and are based on criteria such as: grade point average, legal residency, class (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior), financial need, and other factors.To be eligible for consideration for B&E awards and scholarships, the student must be formally admitted to the College of Business & Economics through the B&E application and admittance process.
Academic Departmental Awards' Representatives (see list below) provide award applications upon request to students. The completed application may require a current resume. In addition, since many awards require demonstration of financial need, the College of Business and Economics recommends that the student file a FAFSA during both the sophomore and the junior years.
