High School Seniors

DonMar Scholarship

  • Up to $3000
  • WV Resident
  • Winner of the WV Dream Quest Business Plan Competition designed to showcase entrepreneurial talent and academic excellence among high school seniors. The winner will only receive the funds it he/she enrolls at the WVU College of Business & Economics. The award will be divided if there are multiple winners.
  • May also be awarded to prior winners showing academic promise
  • May also be awarded to students enrolled in the Entrepreneurship minor in the College of Business & Economics who demonstrate academic promise.

College of Business and Economics Scholarship for 2009

  • Recipient shall be a West Virginia resident who is graduating from a public high school in Monongalia County (currently Morgantown, University, and Clay Battelle). One student will be chosen from all applicants. Only one award is distributed annually.
  • Recipients shall have demonstrated: (a) high academic promise and (b) financial need as determined by appropriate officials of the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid.
  • Awards are made for full tuition and special fees charged annually to students enrolled in the College of Business and Economics.
  • Recipients must be regularly enrolled full-time students at WVU. Although potential B&E majors are enrolled in the Pre-Business and Economics program as freshmen and sophomores and then admitted to the College of Business and Economics as juniors and seniors, recipients of the 2009 Lynch Scholarship will be admitted directly to the College of Business & Economics as Freshman “special admit”.
  • Awards are made to entering freshmen and shall be renewed annually. Recipients must maintain the appropriate academic standards for enrollment in the WVU College of Business and Economics (2.75 GPA) and must make normal progress as a full-time student towards completion of a Business and Economics degree. No award may be extended beyond four years.

Must plan to attend West Virginia University

Must prepare an application consisting of the following:

  • Cover letter - Indicating why you should be selected.
  • Resume indicating your past and present activities.
  • A transcript or verification of your grades to date.
  • Any other supporting documentation you wish to include.
  • A picture of yourself for our records.
