To Learn about the World, Visit the World

Sure you can study the world in the classroom, but to really understand, you'll have to go there....

Business today means global business, and we prepare you to understand the big picture so you can recognize and capture big opportunities.

Students in the master's programs at the College of Business and Economics take Global Marketing Strategy during Spring 2009 ending with a two-week trip to China from May 9 to May 22.  The course concentrates on Chinese culture, elementary language skills and global marketing.  Students and faculty  travel together to China in late May to explore the Chinese market, meet Chinese company representatives, work with Chinese graduate students at Jiaotong University, and visit various marketing channels throughout China.

The program also includes study tours to cultural and historical sites such as Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Terra Cotta Warriors, and the Summer Palace. Company visits include Shanghai General Motors, Baoshan Steel Corporation and Minsheng Bank.
